About us
SLS Psychiatry is a clinician-led, patient-centered practice for adults (18+) across Texas. We focus on mood and anxiety disorders and ADHD with continuity, education, and measurement-based care at the core. Intakes are 60 minutes, follow-ups are 30 minutes. No call.
How we’re different
- Continuity over churn: You own a stable panel — no conveyor-belt scheduling.
- No quotas or double-booking: We cap visits per block so care stays thoughtful.
- Clinical autonomy: Evidence-based care with your judgment front and center — no one-size-fits-all protocols.
- Decisions in days, not quarters: You work directly with the founders; we change workflows fast when clinicians ask.
- Clean operations: Credentialing and billing handled; doc-driven coding; transparent RCM dashboards.
Tools & support
- eClinicalWorks with smart templates, pre-submission claim edits, and measurement tools (PHQ-9, GAD-7, ASRS).
- Freed AI (ambient note assistant) to streamline documentation — capture the visit, you review and sign. Keeps notes consistent with our doc-driven coding approach.
- Credentialing and payer enrollments managed for you, with a tight feedback loop with RCM.
Our vision
We're a startup clinic scaling deliberately — quality first, then growth. We're building a modern outpatient model where clinicians help design the system: clear SOPs, friction-free notes, and data that actually helps patients.
We want a psychiatrist who sees the long game, enjoys shaping workflows, and values continuity over sheer volume.
What you’ll help build (first 6 months)
- Clinical playbooks for adult mood, anxiety, and ADHD — including when to use brief therapy and how we monitor outcomes.
- A “one-click” ECW workflow (order sets, templates, smart phrases) that pairs clean notes with accurate billing.
- A small library of Freed AI prompts for consistent, audit-ready notes.
- A feedback loop with RCM (denial trends, underpayment finds) to keep A/R clean.
- Patient education one-pagers that make psychoeducation faster and better.
The work
- Psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and brief supportive therapy.
- Safe, judicious controlled-substance practice (PDMP, risk-based safeguards).
- Clear documentation of medical necessity and continuity-minded follow-up care.
- Collaboration with therapists and PCPs, and creating specific safety plans.
You are
- MD/DO, ABPN Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Texas-licensed (or willing to obtain promptly); DEA/EPCS; PDMP enrolled or eligible.
- Comfortable with telepsychiatry and evening blocks; succinct, clear documentation (or excited to use Freed to get there).
- Builder mindset: you like improving templates, SOPs, and the patient experience.
Nice to have:
- Interest in mentoring or QA for nurse practitioners as we grow.
Compensation & logistics
$150–$200 / hour. 100% remote (telehealth) — serving patients across Texas. Job types: part-time, contract.
