Adult psychiatry right here in Southlake — in-person evaluation and medication management at our Miron Drive office, with secure Texas telehealth for follow-ups when that fits your week better.
Most of the Southlake adults who reach out to us have already tried — a primary care physician who started an SSRI two years ago and is now uncomfortable adjusting it, a national virtual platform that rotated providers every six months, a name on a Google list whose office turned out to be 45 minutes away. SLS Psychiatry is, simply, in Southlake. Our office at 305 Miron Drive is just off State Highway 114, a few minutes from Town Square, the YMCA, and Carroll ISD. For most Southlake households the drive is under fifteen minutes door to door.
What that proximity actually buys you is continuity. The same psychiatrist for the initial evaluation and the follow-ups. A real exam room when you want one. Telehealth on weeks when an in-person visit would be a hassle. Free parking and a building you can find on the first try. None of that is glamorous, but for ongoing psychiatric care it matters more than almost anything else.
Southlake is well-served on the medical side — Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southlake is roughly five minutes from our office, Methodist Southlake Medical Center is just south on White Chapel, and Baylor Scott & White Grapevine and Texas Health Harris Methodist Keller are both within a short drive. What is less well-served, locally, is steady outpatient adult psychiatry that can take the time to do a careful first evaluation and then keep seeing you on a predictable cadence afterward. That is the hole this practice was built to fill.
We are happy to coordinate with a Southlake-area primary care physician, OB-GYN, or sleep specialist with your written consent. A short clinical update — current diagnoses, current medications, recent changes — is often the highest-value thing a psychiatrist can send to a busy local primary care office, and we send it gladly.
The concerns that come up most often from Southlake patients are adult depression and persistent low mood, generalized anxiety and panic, adult ADHD (often noticed late in someone whose career success masked it for years), perinatal and postpartum mood symptoms, insomnia tied to long workdays and shift schedules, and trauma-related symptoms. We also see a lot of professionals — Carroll ISD parents balancing demanding corporate roles, healthcare workers from the surrounding hospital systems, founders and executives based in the broader 114 corridor — for whom a thoughtful evaluation is overdue but never quite the most urgent thing on the calendar.
We provide thoughtful psychiatric evaluation and medication management. We do not provide standalone ongoing therapy, and we will be straightforward about referring you to a Southlake-area therapist or higher level of care when that is what you actually need. No medication is prescribed without a clinical evaluation, treatment recommendations are made only after clinical evaluation, and no specific medication is guaranteed.
An initial evaluation is 60–75 minutes, in-person at our Southlake office or by secure video — your choice. Inside that visit the psychiatrist works through current symptoms, prior treatment, family history, sleep, substance use, recent labs, and safety. You leave with a working diagnosis, a written plan, and an understanding of what the next several visits are likely to look like. Follow-ups are typically 20–50 minutes, every one to three months once stable, sooner during a medication change.
Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 7 PM, by appointment only. We accept UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna; self-pay rates are listed on the insurance page. Parking is free, the building is wheelchair-accessible, and the office is a short walk from your car.

Both. Many Southlake patients do an in-person initial evaluation and continue with a mix of in-person and telehealth follow-ups based on what fits their schedule. Telehealth requires that you be physically located in Texas at the time of the visit.
We accept UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna — the major plans most commonly used in the Southlake area. See our insurance page for current details and self-pay options.
SLS Psychiatry is an adults-only practice (18+). For children and adolescents, we are happy to refer to a qualified Southlake-area child and adolescent psychiatrist.
